What We Believe

GoodSports recognizes each believer’s liberty to hold varying views within its established teachings. The following is the basis of faith and doctrine for GoodSports.

We believe:

There is one true God, externally existing in three co-equal persons – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Bible to be the inspired, infallible and totally authoritative Word of God.

In the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension and personal return.

That man is unable to save himself and is condemned before God.

In salvation by grace alone through faith in Christ. New birth comes from receiving Christ in the heart and confessing Him as Lord. (Romans 10)

In the spiritual unity of believers who comprise His body, and its local manifestation, the local church.

In the Holy Spirit’s current ministry in and to the believer enabling him to live a godly life.

That there is an evil one who will seek to distract, disrupt and destroy those who pursue godly endeavors.
